Earlier this spring, Brian Jessel BMW and the Vancouver area BMW retailers welcomed 1500 guests to the exclusive launch of The Next Generation BMW 3 Series. The Westin Bayshore Grand Ballroom served as a backdrop to display the three distinct lines offered on the new BMW 3 Series: Modern, Sport and Luxury.

The ballroom was divided into three lounges to showcase the three lines, each with a host ambassador whose personality embodied the spirit of Modern, Sport or Luxury. Upon entering the lounges, guests were treated to a variety of delicious cuisine and beverages created to match the car. Local personality and host of Breakfast Television on CITY TV, Riaz Meghji welcomed guests to the Luxury Line lounge.

Although the charismatic Meghji wakes each morning far before most of us do in order to entertain viewers alongside co-host Jody Vance, he still manages to be a man-about-town, covering the city’s most exciting events and working with several charitable organizations. The friendly Meghi, who has a undeniable presence, is always very well-turned out for events, not unlike the BMW 3 Series Sedan Luxury Line which BMW says unites refinement with sporting agility.

One of the most sought after chefs in Canada, Dale MacKay was the perfect host to introduce the Modern Line. The first season winner of Top Chef Canada and his talented team prepared a fresh, modern dish that had guests talking: Dungeness crab salad with daikon, lime and Mexican-spiced pineapple. MacKay is a self professed BMW enthusiast who can be spotted navigating Vancouver streets with his ten year-old son Ayden in the passenger seat.

Ayden and his dad appreciate the BMW 3 Series Modern Line which embodies contemporary style and future forward design.

Automotive race enthusiast Simon Parker was right at home introducing guests to the dynamic and stylish features of the Sport Line. Parker has been involved in racing for ten years, with many precision driving highlights that include top finishes in Molson Indy Vancouver. He has worked closely with BMW Driver Training, BMW Canada’s xDrive Tour, and the BMW M Power Tour which travels across Canada.

The Sport Line has a more muscular stance and performance-orientated cockpit. This car has all the athletic characteristics that have made the 3 Series an iconic vehicle. You could say the Sport Line is Parker’s choice. Vancouver Canucks Yannick Hansen and Alex Burrows, both BMW drivers, were also in attendance. The players were happyto sign autographs and pose for photographs with guests while exploring the new BMW 3 Series.

Guests were treated to a special performance by Montreal circus troupe, Les 7 Doigts de la Main (The 7 Fingers) throughout the afternoon. The group combined exciting circus acts with an emotion and intimacy that has their audience completely won over. Thank you to to all who attended the exciting BMW 3 Series launch. For our customers who were unable be with us, please call Brian Jessel BMW to book your 3 Series test drive today.
