BMW’s much anticipated fourth-generation M5 follows a tradition of setting new benchmarks for sport sedans. For instance, 507-hp is reached at a sky-high 7,750 rpm before the naturally-aspirated V10 spins to a stratospheric 8,250 rpm at cutoff. A total of 384 lb-ft of torque pushes the M5 to 100 km/h in less than five seconds, actuated via a new steering-wheel-mounted 7-speed paddle operated sequential-manual SMG transmission. Externally, the M5 will be highlighted by distinctive front and rear fascias, unique side mirrors and four fat tailpipes at the rear, just like in previous iterations. The new model also receives front fender gills like the M3.
